Easy Fettuccine Alfredo Recipe

Joe

Here’s a simple and creamy Fettuccine Alfredo recipe:
Ingredients:
- 12 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
- 1 ½ cups grated Parmesan cheese (preferably fresh)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
- Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the Pasta:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
2. Prepare the Alfredo Sauce:
- In a large skillet or saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. If using garlic, add it now and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring well. Simmer the mixture gently for about 2-3 minutes, letting the cream thicken slightly. Be careful not to boil it.
3. Add the Parmesan:
- Reduce the heat to low and gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until melted and combined. The sauce will become thick and creamy. If it’s too thick, add some reserved pasta water, a little at a time, until you reach the desired consistency.
4. Combine with Pasta:
- Add the drained fettuccine to the skillet, tossing it in the Alfredo sauce until fully coated.
5. Season and Serve:
- Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Serve warm and enjoy your rich and creamy Fettuccine Alfredo!
